Albert Vincent Arias, 17, of Casa Grande died on Sept. 15, 2012, at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Vista Grande High School's Spartan Gym and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday before the service at Christian Church of Casa Grande. The celebration of life will be at 10, with Pastor Dave Eleiott officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. The family is asking those attending to wear blue, Albert's favorite color.
Albert was born on Jan. 31, 1995, in Santa Maria, Calif. He was a student and was on the Rifle Team in Junior ROTC at Vista Grande. He liked to play Xbox and be on FaceTime with his friends. He also liked to work out and be around his family, always having a smile and being the life of the party. He enjoyed paintball with his friends.
He was a member of Casa Grande Police Department Explorers and a sergeant and squad leader in Junior ROTC. He worked as a cook at Dairy Queen and wanted to join the military.
Survivors include his parents, Ignacio and Maria Arias of Casa Grande; a brother, Adam Arias of Casa Grande; a sister, Alexis Arias of Casa Grande; and grandparents, Javier and Emilia Iglesias of Grover Beach, Calif., and Isabel Arias of Santa Maria. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Ignacio Arias Sr.
