Albert Manuel

Albert Joaquin Manuel Sr., 69, of Casa Grande died on Feb. 11, 2012, at Kindred Hospital.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Friday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Mission in Ak-Chin. Burial will be in Ak-Chin Cemetery.
Mr. Manuel was born on March 23, 1942, at Menagers Dam and was a son of Manuel Ortega and Augustina Noriega. He was a farm laborer and a musician who played several instruments, including accordion, guitar, base guitar and harmonica. He enjoyed all kinds of music, including traditional waila music. He liked to watch old westerns and loved his family.
Survivors include four daughters, Margaret Garcia of Maricopa, Marcella Newton of Coolidge, Julie Manuel of Stanfield and Norma Enos of Laveen; three sons, David and Peter Manuel of Casa Grande and Albert J. Manuel Jr. of Arizona City; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
