SAN LUCY - Albert Manuel Sr., 80, died Jan. 30, 2009 at West Valley Hospital in Goodyear.


The wake will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday at San Lucy Catholic Mission. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 8 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Dale Jamison. Burial will be in San Lucy Cemetery.

Mr. Manuel was born in Sells and was a son of Jessie Kisto and Carmelita Velasco. He was a mechanic. He enjoyed helping people, working on vehicles and telling stories.

Survivors include five sons, Felix Manuel of Tucson, Roger Manuel of Apache Junction and Albert Manuel Jr., Andrew and Danny Manuel, all of the Gila Bend area; four daughters, Diana, Mary, Gloria and Marjorie Manuel, all of the Gila Bend area; 34 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
