Alejandro "Alex" Valenzuela, 53, of Casa Grande died on June 15, 2015, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Glad Tidings Church. The service of remembrance there will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, with Pastor Ray Alvarez officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Valenzuela was born on June 3, 1962, in Fabens, Texas. He was a machine operator in manufacturing and enjoyed coaching the Orioles in tee-ball and baseball. He enjoyed helping his family, especially with his son’s business.
An avid sports fan, he liked the Cowboys, Sun Devils, Suns and Diamondbacks. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Lupe; a son, Michael A. Valenzuela of Casa Grande; two daughters, Alicia and Valerie M. Valenzuela of Casa Grande; four brothers, Jose, Juan, Robert and Jesus Valenzuela, all of Casa Grande; four sisters, Reyes La Salde and Maria Valenzuela of Tornillo, Texas, Veronica Valenzuela of Casa Grande and Raquel Valenzuela of Pecos, Texas; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Valenzuela and Petra Garcia, and two sisters, Hermilla Garcia and Lupe Ornelas.
