Alejandro "Alex" Reyes, 82, of Casa Grande died on Aug. 8, 2012, at home.
Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 9. Rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Mission in Kohatk Village. Burial will be in Kohatk Cemetery.
Mr. Reyes was born on July 9, 1930, in Wharton, Texas, and was a son of Leandro and Guadalupe Reyes. He was a city sanitation worker and a member of St. Anthony's Church. He liked horseback riding and ranching. He also enjoyed dancing and most of all spending time with his family.
Survivors include three daughters, Syl Reyes and Diane Ramirez of Phoenix and Mary Dunning of Oregon; a stepdaughter, Doris Antone of Casa Grande; two sons, Larry and George Reyes of Phoenix; two stepsons, Howard Antone of Casa Grande and Randall Antone of Sacaton; four sisters, Mary Pender, Paula Romero, Natividad Reyes and Matilde Guerro, all of Texas; four brothers, Mathis, Jose, Frank and Evaristo Reyes, all of Texas; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores, and a son, Joseph Reyes.
