Alexander Hayes Leon

Alexander Hayes Leon, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 31. Born on April 3, 1993, in Phoenix, he was cherished by his mother, Melanie Leon, and his father, Sean Moynihan. 

Alexander was known for his warmth and his love for family, particularly the moments he shared with his cousins. He enjoyed cooking and playing video games, and he graciously took on the responsibility of caring for his grandmother, demonstrating his deep sense of compassion and duty towards his loved ones. 

He is survived by his mother, Melanie Leon, and his brother, Slate Leon, along with his mom, Mary Moynihan, who played a significant role in his upbringing. His Nana Peggy Leon, Tata Frank Aguilar. Uncles Mark, Bert, Sonny & Mike Leon and his Aunt Randi Leon. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Sean Moynihan. 

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ajo, Arizona. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11, at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Childs Ranch Cemetery in Ajo.
