Alfred Cabanillas, 83, of Casa Grande died on Oct. 7, 2015, at home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with rosary recited at 5. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Cabanillas was born on Sept. 8, 1932, in Florence and was a son of Evaristo Cabanillas and Amelia Manjarres. He farmed in the Tri-Valley area for many years, was highly respected for raising quality livestock and was a welcome presence at cattle auctions. With a wealth of family and friends, he was always on the road making his visiting rounds. He attended St. Anthony’s Church, and his family was his pride.
Survivors include a daughter, Priscilla A. Leslie of Chandler; two sons, Anthony D. Cabanillas of Gilbert and Terry D. Cabanillas of Queen Creek; five sisters, Betty Garcia of Chandler, Eleanor Arredondo of Payson, Frances Arredondo of Rancho Cucamonga, California, Eloida Sanchez of Chandler and Ester Padilla of Florence; two brothers, Arnold Cabanillas of Florence and Rudy Cabanillas of Queen Creek; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Cabanillas.
