Alfredo Cano Cordova, 87, of Casa Grande died on Sept. 7, 2010, at Hospice of the Valley, Dobson House in Chandler.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel. The scripture service will follow at noon, with rosary recited at 12:30.
Mr. Cordova was born on July 23, 1923, in Tempe and was a son of Jesus and Antonia Cordova. He was a truck driver and worked on many farms in the Casa Grande, Eloy and Florence areas. He also hauled hay in the Gilbert and Mesa areas. He often was seen in recent times crossing Florence Boulevard in his electric wheelchair, on his daily trip to Food City.
Survivors include three daughters, Maria T. Miller of Arlington, Texas, Eva Gillespie-Clute of Casa Grande and Olivia Torres-Cordova of Sonora, Mexico; a brother, Raul Cordova of Tombstone; two sisters, Carmela Lugo of Tempe and Socorro Nunez of Tombstone; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
