Alga Lea "Cookie" Smith of Mesa AZ, passed
away July 14th, 2018 at the age of 90, 11 days shy
of her 91st birthday. She was born in Vienna, MO on July 25th,
1927, to Columbus L. Crum and Ethel B. Crum.
On January 23rd, 1947 she married Donald R. Smith, which
began their legacy to include five children, 10 grandchildren and
16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Columbus and Ethel;
her three sisters, Ethel Maxine Doerr, Mary Aleen Crum and
Marguerite Crum; her husband, Donald; sons, Roger Smith, Keith
Smith; and grandson Steven Andrew Smith. She is survived by
her children, Pamela Ellars (Gary), Steven Smith, Charlene Boyd
(David); and her daughter-in-law, Sharon Smith; her grandchildren
Aren Smith (Ashley), Matthew Smith (Carmen), Christopher
Smith (Jamie), Shelly Spivak (Stewart), Clayton Netherlin, Joshua
Smith, Lindsey Fauteck (Garrett), Lauren Latter (Christopher),
Adam Hotubbee; 16 great-grandchildren; and niece and nephew
Karen and Kevin Doerr.
She walked in the word of God and witnessed it by example
to her family and those she touched in her daily life. She had a wonderful long life, was loved and cherished deeply and will be
missed by all of us.
