Alice Alma Biel

Alice Alma Biel, 86, of Casa Grande died on March 16, 2023, at home.

Mrs. Biel was born in Spring Valley, Wisconsin, and was a daughter of Otto and Alma (Hurtgen) Adams. She married Orval Biel on Aug. 25, 1956, and started her married life in River Falls, Wisconsin. In 1961 they moved to the Adams family farm near Spring Valley and in 1972 to Menomonie, Wisconsin. She worked for WestCap driving around six counties for family planning. She later worked in security for 3M with Orval in Menomonie.

In 1995 they started their adventures on the road with a motor home and two cats. Their excursions went west to Arizona and to Texas, California, Florida, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Utah, Nebraska and North Dakota. They were part of the Escapees RV camping group. In 2002 she sold the RV and moved to Cypress Point in Casa Grande, then in 2018 to Villas by Mary T to a larger apartment with attached garage. She enjoyed her time there.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2000 and a sister, Sylvia Gladys Faber. Survivors include a sister, Vanita Johnson of Hudson, Wisconsin; six daughters and sons, Elizabeth Otto of Cannon Falls, Minnesota, Phyllis Reilly of Hastings, Minnesota, Carol Crook of Fort Davis, Texas, Nancy Gudgeon of Tennessee, Roger Biel of Casa Grande and Glen Biel of Hardeeville, South Carolina; an adopted son, David Misfeldt of Menomonie; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Burial beside her husband at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, Section 18E, No. 703. Wake beginning at 4 p.m. at Roger Biel's home in Casa Grande.
