Alice Marie Mitchell

Alice Marie Mitchell, 91, of Casa Grande, AZ passed away on September 17, 2017 at home. She
was born in Sterling, CO on November 23, 1925 to Chris Rigel and Christina (Shoenberg) Rigel.
Alice was an unforgettable woman: a full-blooded German known for her great cooking. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and spending time with her family. Alice had an ornery, funny and independent personality and always seemed to put her family first: having served as a homemaker for most of her life. Her love of Christmas and cooking will be remembered through the years during holidays and special get togethers. Alice will deeply be missed by her loved ones.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Mardell (Don) Thomas; three grandsons: Scott (Robin) Thomas, Blaine Thomas and Jason (Stephanie) Thomas; nine great grandchildren: Garrett, Jared, Jake, Lilly, Camryn, Adam, Devyn, Amyra and Dea; and two siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband whom she married in 1946, Wesley E. Mitchell; daughter, Christina Mitchell; parents and nine siblings.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole and Maud, Gardens Chapel was in charge of local arrangements. Burial will take place in CO at a later time. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Companion Hospice at 1930 S. Alma School Rd., Suite #D105, Mesa, AZ85210.
