SACATON — Alton Jack Anton, 72, died on March 25, 2013, at Chandler Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Annette (Anton) Tsosie home in Lower Santan. The celebration of life will be at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Lower Santan Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Loretta Blackwater officiating. Burial will be in Lower Santan Cemetery.
Mr. Anton was born on Oct. 12, 1940, in Arizona and was a son of Basil Jack and Rachel Allison. After their death he was adopted by Daniel and Esther Anton. He was a laborer for many years until his health prevented him from working. He enjoyed listening to oldies music of the 1960s and '70s, chicken scratch, country-western and gospel music. His sense of humor brought joy and laughter to all who visited him. He enjoyed visiting with his grandnieces and -nephews.
He is survived by five nieces; three nephews; and several grandnieces and -nephews. In addition to his parents and adoptive parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Byron Pablo; an adoptive brother, Charles Anton; and two nieces.
