Alverna Rodriguez

BLACKWATER - Alverna Rodriguez, 52, of Glendale died on June 30, 2018. Mrs. Rodriguez was born on Nov. 15, 1965, in Sacaton to Albert Lewis and Ruth Porter. She was very humble, loving and caring. She liked to color in various kinds of books and loved being with her family, especially her grandbabies. She was known as a fighter and a very strong woman.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Jose Rodriguez Sr.; three daughters and a son, Ramona Lewis, Clara Cervantes, Monica Lewis and Jose Rodriguez Jr., all of Glendale; two siblings, Lorraine Reyes of Glendale and Alfred Lewis of Sacaton; and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and a sister.
Wake beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 13, at the District 1 Service Center. Graveside service at 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, in Blackwater Redmore Cemetery.
