ELOY - Amalia C. Cabello, 82, of Eloy died on June 9, 2016.
Mrs. Cabello was born on Jan. 15, 1934, in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, and was a daughter of Arnulfo and Consuelo Castillo. She came from Mexico when she was 16 and was very proud of becoming an American citizen. A homemaker, she loved to cook for her family and was devoted to caring for her 14 children and grandchildren.
Survivors include the love of her life, her husband of 66 years, Rosendo; nine sons and daughters, Javier Cabello of Coolidge, Hortencia Montoya of Santa Maria, California, Arnold Cabello of Casa Grande, Joseph Cabello of Eloy, Connie Garcia of Pasco, Washington, Elvira Vasquez of Eloy, Bernardo Cabello of Coolidge, Carmen Valenzuela and Amelia Gobea of Eloy; 34 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sons and a daughter, Arturo and Rosendo Cabello Jr., Rosie, Ricardo and Richie Cabello; and three grandsons, Rosendo Cabello IV, Leon and Rudy Cabello.
Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 9. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 by the Rev. Alonzo Garcia. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
