Amelia Abilez

Amelia Abilez, 70, passed away on August 21, 2021 in Chandler.

Amelia was born on November 3, 1950 in Fabens, Texas to Francisco and Maria (Contreras) Ortega. Her family moved to Casa Grande when she was a baby. She was a 1968 graduate of Casa Grande Union High School.

Amelia loved reading the Bible and is described by her family as a very faithful person. Her biggest joy was her family. She especially loved caring for her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her daughter Sarah Henry.

Amelia is survived by her sons Jesus Navarrete of Chandler and Ronald Henry; by her daughter Maria Navarrete of Eloy; by her sisters Irene Alvarado of Casa Grande, Paula Tapia of Casa Grande, and Martha Ortega of Chandler; by her thirteen grandchildren and her four grandchildren.
