Amelia Ochoa Florez

CASA GRANDE - Amelia Ochoa Florez, 89, died on Dec. 9, 2018.

Mrs. Florez was born to Ramon and Margarita Ochoa in Tucson on Feb. 27, 1929. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She was a longtime employee of Ochoa's Restaurant in Casa Grande and loved dancing and receiving flowers and plants.

Survivors include a daughter and son, Margarita Nellie Perez of Peoria and Pete Florez of Casa Grande; five siblings, Trinidad Florez of Queen Creek, Terry Garza of Casa Grande, Connie Brunson of Casa Grande, Frank Ochoa of Phoenix and Abraham Ochoa of Chandler; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Matilde; a daughter, Elda Reyes; two sisters; and a brother.

Visitation beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 10 and funeral Mass celebrated at 10:30. Graveside service in Mountain View Cemetery.
