Ana Martinez Garcia

Ana Martinez Garcia, 83, of Casa Grande died on Feb. 26, 2014.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church by the Rev. John Arnold. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mrs. Garcia was born on Sept. 14, 1930, in Santa Ana, Sonora, Mexico. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Church and sang in the Spanish choir. A dedicated member of Guadalupana Society, she prayed the rosary for family and friends for many years and volunteered for Seeds of Hope.

She was known for her cooking, especially tortillas and beans, and enjoyed gardening and watching novellas.

Survivors include two daughters, Lupe and Christina Garcia of Casa Grande; a son, Rene Garcia of Casa Grande; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio; a son, Jose Antonio Garcia; and a brother, Victor Martinez.
