Andrew Miguel

SELLS - Andrew Augustine Miguel Sr., 76, of Phoenix died on Feb. 12, 2014, at home.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. today at St. Mary Catholic Mission. A wake will follow. Burial will be early Sunday in Sells.

Mr. Miguel was born on June 16, 1937, in Tucson. He served in the Army and worked for National BevPak, retiring after 25 years as a supervisor. He was a strong man who was loving and devoted to his family, always helping and lending a hand, especially to his grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Avis Blake and Matilda Miguel-Charles of Laveen and Andrea Escandon of Phoenix; a brother, Vincent Soatikee of Phoenix; two sisters, Gwen and Genevieve Soatikee of Tucson; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Rachel, and a son, Andrew A. Miguel Jr.
