Andrew Parley

SANTA ROSA VILLAGE - Andrew Matthew Parley, 74, of Santa Rosa died on Nov. 7, 2014, at Archie Hendricks Sr. Skilled Nursing Facility in Sells.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Tohono O’odham Baptist Church near Casa Grande and continuing from 2 to 4 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Mission in Little Tucson. A wake will follow beginning at 6 p.m. at his home in Santa Rosa. Burial will be early Saturday in West Santa Rosa Cemetery.

Mr. Parley was born on Nov. 28, 1939, in Little Tucson. He was a farmer and served on a Tohono O’odham Nation board and as a state representative. He and his wife helped raise nine godchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Juanita; two daughters, Melissa and Felicia Parley of Santa Rosa; his mother, "Ena" Annie Lopez of Santa Rosa; and three brothers, Leonard Parley of Little Tucson, Jonas and Leo Robles of Santa Rosa. He was preceded in death by his father, Laurentine Parley, and a sister, Mary Parley.
