Andrew Splawn

Andrew Jackson Splawn III, 86, of Casa Grande died on Oct. 10, 2010, at Hospice Family Care.
Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 by the Rev. Felix Rodriguez. Inurnment will be in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, in Phoenix.
Mr. Splawn was born on Dec. 22, 1923, in Yakima, Wash., and was a son of Dorothy M. and Andrew J. Splawn II. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II, then joined the Navy and served at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He was a boatswain’s mate third class. He was a tug and ferry boat captain and was captain of a glass-bottom tourist boat in Maui, Hawaii.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte E.
