Ann Leona Platt, 86, died on Feb. 25, 2010 in Tucson after a long illness, bravely borne.
Mrs. Platt was born on Nov. 28, 1923 in Tryon, Okla., and was a daughter of William and Edna Denny. After growing up in Oklahoma, she lived in Casper, Wyo., and Casa Grande before moving to Tucson. She was a member of the “Greatest Generation”: hard working in the mining industry and as a banking supervisor, generous, honest, independent, with a strong faith in God and respect for others. She was curious, compassionate, energetic and fun-loving.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert. She is survived by two brothers, Manfred Denny of Denver and Bill Denny of Tucson; four stepchildren; five nieces; and a nephew.
The memorial service will be held in the Memorial Garden at First Presbyterian Church of Casa Grande on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
