ELOY — Anne Simmons, 73, of Eloy died on March 28, 2011, at home.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel. The funeral will follow at 10. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mrs. Simmons was born on Oct. 2, 1937, in Wapanucka, Okla. She was a waitress at the Chatterbox restaurant in Casa Grande and worked at Meyer’s Bakeries in Arizona City before retiring. She enjoyed sewing, reading and cooking and collected Betty Boop items. She also enjoyed watching movies and television, dancing the jitterbug and listening to country music and enjoyed an occasional White Russian drink.
Survivors include four daughters, Kathy L. Neece of Barstow, Calif., Joetta Shaffer of Casa Grande, Tricia Holcombe of Midland, Texas, and Valerie Kellum of Casa Grande; a son, Bill S. Walters of Eloy; three sisters, Rosie Scott of Casa Grande, Ethel Devlin of Arkansas and Effie Lang of Arlington, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles D. Fletcher and Lucy A. Hisle; her husband, Barney; and a sister, Eva Bell Prescott.
