Annette Irene Freyermuth

CASA GRANDE - Annette Irene Freyermuth, 96, died on Jan. 15, 2019, in Casa Grande.

Mrs. Freyermuth was born on March 10, 1922, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and was a daughter of Dorothy E. Bedell Heise and Howard H. Heise Sr. She graduated from Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing in Scranton in 1944 and served in World War II at St. Albans Naval Hospital in New York. She married Lauren P. Freyermuth on Nov. 17, 1945. She went to work at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center's Neurological Institute in New York City as a staff nurse. She later worked at a physician's office in Wilton, Iowa, for 43 years and as a school nurse at Wilton Community School for 34 years and was a member of Iowa Nurses Association.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wilton, was a church choir director and enjoyed music, ceramics, gardening, sewing and her family. She moved to Casa Grande in 2004.

Survivors include a son and daughter, Dennis Freyermuth and Diane Kelly of Casa Grande; four siblings, Robert Heise of Florida, Howard Heise Jr., Cecil "Skip" Heise and Paul Heise, all of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Loretta Morie.

Celebration of life at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel.
