Anthony Russell Miller

CASA GRANDE - Anthony Russell Miller, 85, of Tucson, a Roman Catholic deacon, died on Nov. 7, 2015.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Deacon Miller was born on Aug. 11, 1930, in Ionia, Michigan, and was a son of Anthony and Dorothy Mason Miller. He was a military veteran of the Korean War and later owned and operated an accounting business. He served the Catholic Church throughout his life. He had many nieces and nephews and many friends wherever he lived and worked.

Survivors include five sons, Larry Miller of Minnesota, Jim Miller of Kingman, Christopher Miller of Chandler, Mark Miller of Tucson and Dave Miller of Michigan; a daughter, Mary Miller of Tucson; a brother, Leonard Miller of Michigan; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, 20 years ago; a grandson, Nicolas Miller; and two brothers, Ken and John Miller.
