Anthony Scott Poindexter

Anthony "Dogg" Scott Poindexter, 36, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.

Anthony was born at the Phoenix Indian Hospital on Thursday, February 18, 1982 to William and Sophie Collins Poindexter. Dogg had worked as a forklift operator for many years. He enjoyed music, dancing, video games and hanging out with his family. Anthony was a loving father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend who will be greatly missed but will remain forever in our hearts.

Anthony is preceded in death by his father, William Poindexter; his mother, Sophie Poindexter; and his nephew, Ernest Kelley, Jr.

Dogg is survived by his children, Keasi Toki and Attila Toki(Poindexter) of San Tan Valley and Azarian Rae Poindexter of Casa Grande; his siblings, Francise M. Kelley of Seattle, WA, Ernest L. Kelley of Sacaton, David E. Kelley of Dallas, Georgia, Debbie A. Harrison (Jim) of Chandler, Jerry Lee Kelley, Kenneth L. Kelley, Bennie E. Kelley, Kathy Beechum (Tim) all of Casa Grande, Lashaunda S. Adesida (Tosin) of Phoenix, Brenda Goodman (Stuart) of Phoenix, William Poindexter, Jr., (Jen), Deidra, Justin, Andrea Scott all of Phoenix; his beloved dog, Kong; numerous nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his many friends.

The family of Anthony will be accepting family at the Gardens Chapel, located at 525 North Peart Road, Casa Grande, Arizona, beginning at 9:00 AM on Friday, July 20, 2018. A Celebration of Anthony's life will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 AM at J. Warren Funeral Services with Pastor Fredrico Hidalgo officiating. Anthony will be laid to rest in the Mt View Cemetery following his Celebration of Life at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are: Kenneth Kelley, Jerry Kelley, Ernest Kelley, Shawn Lawrence, Kenneth Kelley, Jr., Donte Kelley, Jimmy Harrison, Jr., William Poindexter, Jr., Tiffany Goodman, Jose Galvan, Jabarrie Kelley, and Daniel Collins.
