BAPCHULE — Anthony B. "Tony" Osife, 64, of Phoenix died on Jan. 14, 2013, at home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at St. Peter's feast house, with rosary recited at 6. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Mr. Osife was born on March 13, 1948, in Sacaton and was a son of Anthony G. Osife and Matilda Williams. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service for 30-plus years before retirement. He was a member of the National Postal Mail Handlers Union.
He attended St. Mary Basilica in Phoenix and donated to various charities. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan and enjoyed taking walks with the family dog, Corky. He was devoted to his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Veronica "Ronnie" Kescoli; three daughters, Quoralyn Seumanu of Gilbert, Michelle and Ashley Osife of Phoenix; a sister, Carolyn Smalley of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, John D. Osife of Fort McDowell; and three grandsons. He was preceded in death by three brothers,Justin, William "Billy" and Donald Osife.
