ELOY - Antonio Duarte, 64, of Eloy died on Aug. 22, 2014, at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa.
The wake will begin at 5 p.m. today at 4370 W. Hammon Drive. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 10. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 by the Rev. Alonzo Garcia. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mr. Duarte was born on June 27, 1950, in Sinaloa, Mexico. He was a farmworker and loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved going to the beach and his garden.
Survivors include his wife, Agapita; four daughters, Amalia, Alma, Dorina and Maria Duarte, all of Eloy; a son, Jesus Duarte of Eloy; his mother, Ramona Duarte of Mexico; four brothers, Pablo and Fausto Duarte, Juvenal and Samuel Inzunza, all of Mexico; 10 sisters, Cecilia, Silvina and Manuela Duarte, all of Mexico, and Eloina, Florina, Dorina, Barina, Onorina, Albertina and Rosina Inzunza, all of California; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Hipolito Duarte.
