Apolito "Polo" Rodriguez was born December 7, 1940 in Taft, Texas and passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. He was married for 53 years to Julia R. Rodriguez. As a resident of Casa Grande he owned and operated Polo’s Auto Repair for 30 years. He was a devoted ASU fan and honorary life member of the Elks Lodge #1957, Casa Grande. An avid bowler for 30 years, he also enjoyed listening to Mexican music, fishing, and looked forward
to buying his weekly lottery tickets. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters, road trips and trips to Disneyland.
He is survived by his wife, Julia R. Rodriguez; daughters, Barbara (Terry) Clark and Bertha (Greg) Schroyer, both of Casa Grande and Brenda Damp of Chandler, AZ; brother, Gabby Rodriguez
of Casa Grande; sister, Yolanda Tapia of Casa Grande; and granddaughters, Alina Clark and Jensin Clark. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Beyersdorf.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Cole & Maud Gardens Chapel from 6:00-8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at
10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
