Arlene F. Howard-Holder, 53 of Sacaton, died December 18, 2021, in Chandler. She was born July 10, 1968, in Sacaton to Everett and Barbara Howard. Arlene attended Christian Training School after graduating high school, where she met her husband of 26 years, Calvin. She also attended Dubuque Theological Seminary in Iowa with her husband. She earned a master’s degree in sociology, when returning to Arizona. Her love for children brought her to work in group homes and being a head start advocate. Arlene was also a former Ms. Gila River. She was one of the founding members of Gila River Youth Council. She enjoyed being with her dog, Mariah. She will be missed dearly by so many.
She is survived by her godsons, Daniel Freeman Sr., and Severide Wahpeta, her mother Barbara Howard, her siblings, Elaine Moyah, Elizabeth Howard, Edwin Howard and Joseph Miller and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Holder and her father Everett Howard.
