Arlene J. Manuel

SAN LUCY VILLAGE - Arlene J. Manuel, 54, of San Lucy died on Aug. 25, 2016, at Hospice of the Valley in Surprise.

Ms. Manuel was born on Sept. 8, 1961, in Sacaton. She worked as a caregiver and was a very caring and loving woman. She enjoyed cooking, dancing and doing arts and crafts. She loved to have fun, but most of all, she loved spending time with her girls, especially her granddaughter. Very involved with the rosary, she was a cursillista "DeColores."

Survivors include two daughters, Arlana A. and Asa M. Lee; a brother, Michael Manuel Sr.; a sister, Elita Osequeda (Manuel); and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Cipriano Manuel and Joe L. Manuel, and a sister, Louella Manuel.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 5 p.m. Friday at San Lucy Catholic Mission. A wake will follow there. The Rev. Leonardo "Joy" Vargas and Deacon Bill DeMarco will officiate. Burial will be at 6 a.m. Saturday in San Lucy Cemetery.
