Arlene Patricia Thomas

Ms. Thomas was born in Sacaton on Nov. 2, 1952, to Enoch and Rose Thomas. She loved to listen to Alan Jackson, and in her younger days loved to dance. She was a horsehair basket maker. She also loved to cook and be with her family. She had a big heart and cared for all around her.

She worked as a home health care provider for most of her career. She enjoyed the patients, who became much more than that, they became her family.

She is survived by three adult children, Christine, Devin and Davien Antone; three siblings, Frances Antone, Delbert Thomas and Terrance Thomas; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Antone Jr.; two siblings, Cornelius and Howard Thomas; and a great-granddaughter, Azarya Mendoza.

Services on Friday, June 10, at the Frances Antone home in Chuichu. Commendation Rite at 5:15 p.m. followed by an all-night wake. Burial at 5 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, in Chuichu South Cemetery with no viewing.
