Arlene L. Shepard, 92, of Casa Grande passed away quietly on Sept. 21, 2012, at her home, with her family by her side.
Mrs. Shepard was born on Feb. 23, 1920, in Medina, N.Y., the third of five children of Howard and Ula (Banker) Stewart. She and her late husband owned Shep's Bar in Albion, N.Y., for several years and she later managed Meyers Market in Medina. She enjoyed RVing and visited many states. She loved the desert and mountains of Arizona and was a big fan of Arizona sports teams, especially the Diamondbacks and Suns. A loving Mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by two of her children and their spouses, Diane and Thomas Cox of Casa Grande, AZ. and Larry and Vicki Shepard of Dewey, AZ.; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, her brother, Glenn Stewart, sister, Anita Hess, Sister-in-law Rita Stewart all of Medina, New York. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; a son, Neil; a sister, Ruth Pittard; and a brother, Roy Stewart.
No service will be held in honor of her wishes; A celebration of life will be held later at the family's convenience.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice Compassus of Casa Grande, Arizona
