Armida Mattia

Armida Frances Mattia, 74 of Ak-Chin died July 15, 2021 in Chandler. Mrs. Mattia was born on August 21, 1946 in Ak-Chin Maricopa to Victor Santiago and Agnes Lewis. Armida enjoyed crafts, especially basket weaving. She retired from Ak-Chin Indian Community after many years and was also a member Ak-Chin Senior Group.
She is survived by her husband, Francisco Mattia of Maricopa, two sisters, Victoria Vielma and Helen Valenzuela of Gila Bend, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her children, Franklin Sam, Dwayne Sam and Amanda Sam and a sister, Minnie Santiago.
