Arnulfo Lara Castillo

ELOY - Arnulfo Lara Castillo, 77, died on April 27, 2016.

Mr. Castillo was born on Jan. 8, 1939, in Sebastian, Texas, to Juan and Concepcion Castillo, one of eight children. He was a migrant farmworker for most of his life. He enjoyed watching football and western movies, listening to country music and visiting his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He volunteered for many things, including Ministerios Apostolicos de la Fe en Cristo, as a peer mentor for Pinal Hispanic Council and as a block watch captain. He loved to quote scripture. He had a strong outlook on life, and his faith was great.

Survivors include 12 sons and daughters, Rudy, Ray, Ross, Ricky, George, Rachel, Ruby, Becky, Rosa, Adela, Juanita and Esmeralda; two sisters, Celia Verdin and Bertha Flores; 38 grandchildren; and 67 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Dolores Garza Castillo, and five siblings, Lupe, Margarito, Gregoria, Juan and Hortencia.

A private service was held.

J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
