Arthur R. "Art" Robinson, 87, of Casa Grande died on April 17, 2015, at home.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Casa Grande Stake Center. The funeral will follow at 11. Burial will be next Wednesday in Kanab, Utah.
Mr. Robinson was born on April 26, 1927, in Pine City, Minnesota, was a son of Ainsley and Marie Robinson, and was raised on the family farm there. He served in the Army and received a bachelor’s degree in engineering on the GI Bill. He had a 20-year career with Pet Milk and lived in Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Missouri. In 1969 he moved to Columbus, Ohio, and joined Ross Laboratories, a division of Abbott Laboratories. In the mid-1980s he moved to Casa Grande to work on the planning and construction of the company’s plant. He then retired in Casa Grande.
He loved gardening, travel and most of all fishing. He did a church mission in England and had traveled from Sweden to Asia. He was active in his church in positions from deacon to patriarchal ministry.
Survivors include two sons, Scott D. Robinson of Casa Grande and Lee Robinson of Tracy, California, and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley "Ginger" (Schnapp) Robinson.
