On February 9, 2024, the world bid farewell to a beloved soul, Arthur Harvey, aged 84, of Bapchule, an Army veteran. His journey began on May 27, 1939, in Sacaton, to the embrace of Jose and Barbara Harvey.
Throughout his life, Arthur embodied the virtues of diligence and generosity. A fervent supporter of the Cardinals and Diamondbacks, he found solace in the camaraderie of sports and the thrill of games. His leisurely moments were spent at the casino, savoring his coffee amidst the outdoors.
A pillar of strength to his children, Arthur's paternal warmth knew no bounds. An explorer at heart, he embarked on countless adventures with his young ones, etching memories that time cannot fade. The allure of Catalina Island held a special place in his heart.
In the bloom of his youth, Arthur assumed the mantle of chief at St. Peter's Indian Mission—a role he embraced with unwavering dedication—a true testament to his devout faith as a Catholic. In each soul he touched, Arthur's kindness and zest for life shall forever resonate. May his essence live on in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him.
Arthur leaves behind a legacy cherished by many. He is survived by his son Raymond Harvey, daughters Jeanette and Margaret, brother Norbert Harvey, along with 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren—all bearers of his spirit and values.
He now reunites with his cherished wife Nada after a blissful union spanning five decades. His sisters Carmelita Juan, Veronica James, and Esther Shelde await him in a tranquil embrace beyond this realm.
