CASA GRANDE - Arvell "Jack" Shaw, 80, of Casa Grande died on Feb. 3, 2017, at home.
Mr. Shaw was born on Feb. 3, 1937, to Cleo and Wyonia (Williams) Shaw in Stroud, Oklahoma. At a very young age he moved to Arizona, where he met the love of his life, Marie. He was devoted to his family and worked for Pinal County for more than 30 years, spending one weekend a month and two weeks a year serving in the National Guard. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing dominoes, listening to blues and hosting barbecues.
Survivors include four daughters, Deveda Jones of San Tan Valley, Tonya Martin of Phoenix, Beverly Scott and Trina Gulley of Casa Grande; three sons, Bradford and Jimmy Shaw of Texas and Quintin Gulley of Stockton, California; and a brother, Gerald Rutledge of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie; a sister, Mary Samuels; and two sons, Frankie and Darrell Gulley.
Celebration of life from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel.
