Arvie Vaughn,

Arvie Vaughn Jr., 55, of Mesa died July 10, 2008 in Mesa.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Community Church of God in Christ in Coolidge. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park.

Mr. Vaughn was born May 5, 1953 in West Memphis, Ark. He was a foreman and a hardworking man, always busy. He had been restoring a 1972 Chevy, his pride and joy, for the past couple of years. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Rivas; two sons, Angel Rivas and Arvie Vaughn of Mesa; a daughter, Linda Rivas of Mesa; his parents, Arvie and Dorothy Vaughn of Coolidge; five sisters, Debbie Vaughn of California, Brittany Vaughn of Coolidge, Visa, Murline and Patricia Ann Vaughn, all of Mesa; nine brothers, Vernon, Roy, Gerald, Ricky, Randy, David and Shawn Vaughn, all of Coolidge, Anthony Vaughn of Los Angeles and Jerry Vaughn of Bakersfield, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Cade.
