Aurelia M. Jones

NORTH HICKIWAN VILLAGE - Aurelia M. Jones, 81, of North Hickiwan died on March 2, 2017, at Archie Hendricks Sr. Skilling Nursing Facility in Sells.

Mrs. Jones was born on Dec. 4, 1935, in Charco 27 Village to Santos and Laveena Ortega.

Survivors include four daughters and sons, Eleanor R. Ortega of Gila Bend, Joseph Ortega of Hickiwan, Julianna Jones of Hickiwan and Jerry Jones of Tucson; two brothers, Jimmy and Johnny Ortega of Hickiwan; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome, and a brother, Max Ortega.

Funeral Mass celebrated at 5 p.m. Friday, March 10, at the Jones home, with a wake following. Burial at 7 a.m. Saturday, March 11, in Stuha Bidag Cemetery. All choirs, traditional singers and dance groups welcome.
