BLACKWATER — Aurelia Thomas, 70, of Blackwater died on June 29, 2010.
The graveside service will be at 5 a.m. Saturday in Blackwater West Cemetery, with Pastor Mike Simpson officiating.
Mrs. Thomas was born on March 13, 1940, in Vah-Ki. She was a homemaker and a very spiritual person. She enjoyed walks, meditating and looking for beads for arts and crafts. She made baskets and some pottery as well. She enjoyed visiting with people and was a strong shoulder to lean on for advice. She made people feel comfortable and happy.
Survivors include four sons, Darll Lewis and Angelo R. Card of Blackwater, Cameron Lewis of Casa Blanca and Donald L. Thomas of Heber; three daughters, DeeSha D. Jackson, Theresa D. Lewis and Fedencia D. Lewis, all of Blackwater; four brothers, Clayton F. Card of Blackwater, Howard Card Jr. of Co-op, Elmer Card of Blackwater and Clifton Card of Apache Junction; 23 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Mitchell L.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
