Austin Angelo Antone

COVERED WELLS VILLAGE - Austin Angelo Antone Sr., 62, of Covered Wells died on Feb. 25, 2020, at Tucson Medical Center.

Mr. Antone was born on April 14, 1957, in Sacaton to Lee and Molly (Ramon) Antone. He started pastoring in the 1980s at a young age at Papago Bible Church in Sells with his family, ministering through preaching and singing.

He worked as a miner and general laborer on cattle ranches, in landscaping and numerous jobs to support his family. He returned to his favorite profession, as pastor for Quijotoa Pentecostal Church of God in Covered Wells, serving there for the past five years.

Survivors include three sons, Quentin, Jeremiah and Jerusalem Antone; a daughter, Glory Antone; seven siblings, Elisa, Larry, Anselm and Dallas Antone, Geneva Wahpeta, Roselyn and Dion Antone; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou; his parents; a daughter, Austina Antone; a son, Austin Antone Jr.; and three siblings, Rose, Lucianna and Lincoln Antone.

Wake beginning at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 9, in Santa Rosa Village. Funeral at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10. Burial in San Francisco Cemetery.
