CASA BLANCA — Barbara Jane Lewis, 82, of Casa Blanca died on April 10, 2013, at Caring House in Sacaton.
The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the Edward Lewis home in Casa Blanca, with rosary recited at 6. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis was born on Sept. 3, 1930, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Henry Setoyant and Ida Liston. She was a homemaker and a strong woman who always encouraged her family and stayed in a cheerful mood. She loved doing crafts and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Spanish, and was in a group that performed traditional Pima songs. She loved the outdoors and watching WWE wrestling.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Edward A.; four daughters, Glena Johns and Tina Reyes Tapia of Casa Blanca, Edwardine Lewis of Komatke and Jacqueline Lewis of Bapchule; four sons, Adrian and Patrick Johns Jr., Valentino and Enrique Lewis, all of Casa Blanca; a sister, Alfreda Soke of Komatke; 37 grandchildren; 93 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Benedict Setoyant; three sisters, Vera Fountain, Theresa Setoyant and Clara Manuel; three sons, Abbott Johns, Molino and Bryan Lewis; and a daughter, Elizabeth Johns.
