Barbara R. Little

Barbara R. Little, 85, a longtime Casa Grande resident, died on Oct. 7, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.

The celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Ben Seller officiating.

Mrs. Little was born on June 27, 1929, in Globe and was a daughter of Walter T. Garrett and Sunshine Pinyan. She was an elementary school teacher and a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she had been a deacon and elder. She enjoyed crocheting, watching the Diamondbacks and really enjoyed going to get ice cream. Most of all she loved her family.

Survivors include a son, Craig Ross of Casa Grande; two daughters, Becky Blakely of Casa Grande and Janet Peterson of Rancho Cucamonga, California; a brother, Bill Garrett of Casa Grande; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; a sister, Jean Scott; and a grandson, Clint Blakely.
