Bennett Glenn Lewis, 67, of Blackwater, Arizona, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 18, 2024. He was born on August 31, 1957, in Sacaton to Melvin Juan and Delia Lewis.
Bennett was known for his humor and ability to bring joy to those around him, often finding laughter even in challenging times. He had a passion for activities that brought him joy, including trips to the casino, motorcycling, riding ATVs, camping, and fishing. His love for animals was evident in his care for six cherished cats. A skilled mechanic, Bennett believed that anything broken could be fixed and generously offered his help to others, particularly when it came to matters involving cars.
He was also devoted to his family and balanced a stern demeanor with an ever-present display of love and care.
Bennett is survived by his long-time companion of 31 years, Rebecca Moffett; his children, Colten Lewis, Breedra Lewis, Enoch Lewis and Derek Moffett; and his siblings, Dennis Juan, Laurie Juan, Nancy Juan, Brenda Juan, and Glenda Salcido. He also leaves behind two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
A wake in honor of Bennett will be held on Friday, November 29th, at 5:30 PM at the District One Services Center in Blackwater. A burial service will follow the next morning at 7:30 AM at the West Blackwater Cemetery.
