BLACKWATER — Bennett Scoffer Sr., 67, of Blackwater died on June 21, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the District 1 Service Center.
Mr. Scoffer was born on Jan. 8, 1946, in Sacaton and was a son of Herbert Scoffer and Veronica Joseph. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and an electrician for the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs for 21 years before retirement. He enjoyed listening to music, watching TV and going to swap meets. He raised cattle and horses and operated a small farm. He enjoyed doing yard work and caring for his plants.
Survivors include a son, Bennett Scoffer Jr. of Blackwater; a daughter, Darlene Scoffer of Florence; a brother, Burton Joseph of Blackwater; three sisters, Gloria Martinez of Casa Grande, Geraldine Scott of Oklahoma City and Doreen Lopez of Blackwater; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
