Bernadine Davis

Bernadine ?Bernie? Sitzman Davis, 74, died July 28, 2009 at her home in Casa Grande.

Born in Albuquerque, N.M., to Bernard and Billie Sitzman, Mrs. Davis attended Albuquerque High School and graduated in 1953. She was married in 1962 to her childhood sweetheart, Glenn B. Davis Jr. of El Paso, Texas. They lived in several cities including Carlsbad, N.M., La Palma, Calif., Honolulu, Las Vegas and Clio, Calif.

She was a founder and president of La Palma Intercommunity Hospital Volunteers Association, then moved to Anaheim Memorial Medical Center as director of volunteer services. In 1979-80, she was president of the Orange County Association of Hospital Volunteers.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Bonnie and Robyn; a son, Kevin; her mother; three brothers, Jim, Donnie and Wayne; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her father.

The family is holding a private celebration of life in Clio.
