CHUICHU - Bernard Lorenzo Havier Jr., 55, of ChuiChu died Oct. 27, 2007 at home.


The wake will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Havier home. The graveside service will be at 7 a.m. Sunday in South ChuiChu Cemetery.

Mr. Havier was born April 12, 1952 in Sacaton. He was a Bureau of Indian Affairs police officer for many years after starting as a cadet. He loved to dance, especially to chicken scratch music, and also to cook and entertain friends and family.

Survivors include three sons, Joe S. and Bernard L. Havier III of ChuiChu and Ivan Juan of Tucson; four sisters, Linda Garcia, Josie Perez and Jenny Lewis, all of ChuiChu, and Margo Gonzalez of Casa Grande; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosaria B. Mandre; a son, Ralph J. Havier; his parents, Dolores Valencia-Havier and Bernard L. Havier Sr.; and a brother, Santiago Havier.
