Bernardine Ann Thomas

UPPER SANTAN - Bernardine Ann Thomas, 56, died April 17, 2007 in Sacaton.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 3 Service Center, with Pastor Brandon Johns officiating. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Mission by the Rev. Irving Terry. Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.

Ms. Thomas was born May 27, 1950 in Sacaton. She was a homemaker and full-time grandmother and a "grandmother" to many outside her family. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed music and being outside.

Survivors include her mother, Alice Manuel of Santan; three daughters, Ruth Ann Thomas of Sacaton, Rebecca Johns of Blackwater and Toni Marie Thomas of Sacaton; six sons, Calvin Miles of Gila Butte, Herschel Thomas, Dennis Miles III, Travis Thomas Sr., Matthew and Cody Ray Thomas, all of Sacaton; a sister, Majel Thomas of Casa Grande; a brother, Wayne Manuel of Santan; and 24 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Manuel.
