BLACKWATER — Bernice Lopez, 68, of Blackwater died on Aug. 3, 2011, in Casa Grande.
Visitation will begin at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church in Coolidge, with rosary recited at 8. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. by the Rev. Virgilio Tabo. Burial will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Blackwater.
Mrs. Lopez was born on May 20, 1943, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Lawrence and Josephine Lewis. She was a homemaker and enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her family and friends. She liked country and Mexican music, Sonic burgers and watching “The Price Is Right.” She also loved her little Chihuahua, Tinker Bell.
Survivors include two daughters, Alma Lopez Morgan and Teresa “June” Aguayo of Coolidge; a brother, Gerald Thomas of Blackwater; three sisters, Marie Applegate, Elaine Fletcher and Angelita Repama, all of Blackwater; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, in 2000; two brothers, Willard and Bernard Lewis; and a sister, Luella Johnson.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
