SACATON — Bernice N. Singer, 74, died on Jan. 29, 2012, at Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson.
Visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Singer home. A service of remembrance will be at 9 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Santan. Burial will be in East Sacaton Cemetery.
Ms. Singer was born on Oct. 29, 1937, in Polacca and was a daughter of Bessie Namoki and Sylvan Nahsonhoya. She worked in hospital patient registration. She was very involved in the LDS Church and was a church organist. She worked with ceramics and was a Dallas Cowboys fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Nahsonhoya of Tucson and Dorothy Moreno of North Santa Rosa Village; a son, Loren Nahsonhoya of Casa Grande; three sisters, Sandra Dewayumptewa of Polacca, Geneva Pablo of Casa Grande and Avis Gallegos of Dandridge, Tenn.; a brother, Elwin Namoki of Polacca; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Milliecent Ramirez and Sheila-Ann Nahsonhoya; a brother, Dalton Namoki; and three sisters, Annie Delgado, Leora and Bridgette Namoki.
